I can't imagine what it must be like to look at a foreign face in the mirror.Expat Housewifenoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-670426779858438488.post-80151472650615000442014-10-26T18:19:47.523+00:002014-10-26T18:19:47.523+00:00Oh, did I mention face and neck skin sagging too? ...Oh, did I mention face and neck skin sagging too? Bleah. I am enjoying what is left of my pretty skin while I still have it. What will I have tomorrow, eh? More money, I hope.Mrs McLeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18095035617334068201noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-670426779858438488.post-8898196235471150452014-10-26T18:17:25.142+00:002014-10-26T18:17:25.142+00:00Thank you! Yes, it is a sad fact that if the naturally alabaster try to for a "sun kissed glow" or whatever, we end up looking leathery, whereas the naturally brownish simply don't. (Fair women in Afghanistan, for example, are positively brutalized by the hot sun.) Sadly, the only way any alabaster woman can keep that porcelain complexion into middle-age is to wear a bonnet, and I imagine even elderly rich 18th century woman upon whose faces no direct ray of sun ever fell got all wrinkly.

Let's face it. If we live long enough, we are all going to wrinkle, and our hair will get thinner, and turn grey and then white, and our breasts will sag, and it will take much money and concentration to look anything like Sophia Loren (especially when we never looked like her to start with), and really, it will be better to concentrate on our minds and families. Yes, she's obviously had other work done, but the harsh bronze is what is most alienating. She's darker than me now, and I'm half Indian.Mari Thttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07171764404064781371noreply@blogger.com
